Growing up in Newport News VA, I played outside in neighborhoods of odd characters, patchy grass, abandoned lots and forgotten alleyways. I played inside with American and Japanese cartoon shows, comic books and video games. As I document both life and imagination in my sketchbook, my work intertwines the world around me with the world inside my head.

Process work for my contribution to Bartkira, the Akira/Simpsons mashup. After I finish this up, and my final portfolio/website, maybe I’ll jump back in to comics a bit. It’s hard work, but I forgot how fun it is.
I’m so excited about this project that I can’t show, so I’ll leave you with this for now.
